Indiana Jones and The Temple of Doom is an adventure action game released and developed by Atari Games for Nintendo into 1985. The story begins when Indiana Jones flees the pursuit of a Shanghai gangster named Lao Che. Along with Indiana Jones were two other people, close friend Short Round and nightclub singer after they had feuded with Lao Che. The trio hid in an airplane owned by Lao Cheo to flee. While the three of them slept, the plane took off, and they did not know the plane’s destination. Halfway through the flight, the aircraft crashed. Lao Che’s henchmen jumped out and left the three of them trapped on the plane. Finally, the plane landed at a peak in the Himalayas. They were dropped in a river; the water brought them to a poor village. The people here believe they are sent by the god Shiva to help them. They have lost the sacred Lingam stone, and the children here are missing by the evil forces in the Pankot Palace. The trio theorized that this stone was one of the five legendary Sankara stones.
