Proto Man 3 is a ROM hack of Mega Man 3, created by Robot to allow players to play as Proto Man instead of Mega Man. The author took great care to ensure that Proto Man’s pixels are in the proper place, with no awkward frames of animation. The graphics and palettes were changed in multiple locations, requiring the use of several utilities, including Tile Layer Pro, MM3TextEdit, MegaManFLE, and Hexposure. The author believes that the finished product is good enough to be burned onto a real NES cart.
