R-Type is a horizontal scrolling shooter video game, participating in the game you will control the R-9 “Arrowhead” in the journey to destroy alien species that are planning to invade the world. The game includes multiple levels with increasing difficulty and bosses at the end of each level. You will have to cleverly navigate your ship dodging obstacles and enemies if you do not want the ship to be damaged. During the game, you can also upgrade your ship’s weapons by collecting items dropped from enemies.
